Cutting Board Tacos

1)  Take one insanely hot summer day and your basic taco fixin’s…

(Nothin’ fancy — just the basics — seasoned with this.)

(Allow me to zoom in a bit closer.)

2)  Assemble them on the nearest cutting board.

3)  Add a lil’ sunshine and a fork.

4)  Okay… a LOT of sunshine and a fork.

(There we go!)

5)  Think of winter and laugh.  Bwahahah!

(Apologies to my Southern hemisphere friends…)

Serve with a side of this and pull up a chair.

That’d be it. :)

Enjoying easy weeknight meals,

~ Kimby

  1. I’m admiring your food & views at the same time. Wish my yard is just outside my home. I’ve a beautiful environment here, lots of greenery, facilities + a pool. Problem is I’ve to carry all my food down just to shoot some pix. Lol! Sometimes I take certain products down to shoot but food is a bit tough.

I love the colours of your greens. Such a healthy dish!

    • Thank you, Shirley! I love the food photos that you take, wherever you take them! Carting my plates, camera, etc. just a few steps is a blessing — and I’m glad to hear you take your products on a “picnic” now and then. :)

  2. Easy to prepare…Love to try the homemade seasoning. This will be great for a picnic, by the beach. Your pictures are so fantastic. You never fail to amaze me with your features.

    • Hi, Myfudo! No problem with the shameless plug. :) I looked through your new site and it’s gorgeous. (I also like your use of the word perspicaciously!) Congrats on your new venture and thanks for stopping by the lake!

  3. Your view is amazing. What a beautiful assortment of goodies to stuff inside a taco. That’s a great lunch. And yes, very envious of your warm weather. We are very cold here in the south! xx

    • Charlie, I wish I could send you some of our heat — still in the 100’s (and has been) for weeks. I enjoyed your “Christmas in July” post — made me yearn to run the oven for hours, roasting a turkey again! Autumn’s a comin’…

  4. Tacos are one of my favorite go to summer meals. My sister in law is especially fond of my my chicken tacos so they often come over for dinner during the summer. These look amazing…and I must try this rice…sounds delish.

    • I’m smiling, Ally, because I feel the same way about the “double whammy” with the food photos you post on FB & your blog — makes me twice as hungry, too! :)

Your thoughts are valued. What's on your mind?
