My Guest Post for Choc Chip Uru on Go Bake Yourself

Twinkle, Twinkle...

Seasons Greetings!  (And surprise, surprise!)

One of the perks of blogging is the ability to be instantly transported around the globe at the click of a button — not just to a place, but into someone’s home.  More specifically… their kitchen!

During the past year or so, we’ve all had the pleasure of getting to know Choc Chip Uru at Go Bake Yourself.  Uru has thrilled us with her baking creativity, restaurant reviews (love your CCU Undercover Series!), wit, and humor, but she’s also invited us into her life — and an interesting and delightful one, at that.

This busy young lady was due for a much needed break and asked if I’d be willing to write a guest post.  Needless to say, I was on it like a rolling pin on cookie dough!  Glad to help while you’re away, Uru! xo

Today, I invite you to travel with me far, far south of my usual neck of the woods to my guest post in the land “down under.”

Happy, Shiny, Shimmery Holidays everyone!

Enjoying global friendships,

~Kim

    • Uru, thank you — and the same to you! I was just out looking at the stars… I think they’re twinkling brighter tonight. :) Have a wonderful holiday with your family!

  1. OK, girl, how in the blue moon do you get all this done!! I’m runnin’ on fumes and I see your fabulous post in my email!! I gots to get someahdat Okkkie juice!! Merry Christmas! Love ya!! Ally

    • Smiling, Ally, cuz Uru asked me to submit it in October — baked the cookies in September! (My secret is out, ha!) But, I made another batch between Cantata performances last week, lol! (Must be something in the lake water…) :) Merry Christmas, dear friend!!!

  2. Hi Kimby, did u just add the snowflakes like u did before? I’m experiencing the same problem scrolling down your post again. Is it just me having this hiccups? Lol!

That’s so sweet of u to guest post at Uru’s blog! She’s such a doll. I’m heading over to chk it out now!

      • I see WordPress has added another new feature — clicks and views at the same time (on the Stats page) — might have something to do with it. Every time a “new & improved” feature shows up, my blog goes haywire. :) Patience, Shirley, patience… :) xo

    • Isn’t it a wonder, Charlie?! Living “vicariously” has a new definition… or at the very least, qualifies as a pleasant diversion. :) So nice to “meet” you & your family this past year!

  3. Hey, Kim. I couldn’t find where to type in the comment on the Chocolate Chip Uru’s blog, so I’ll type one here. My youngest loves to try different sugar cookie recipes. We’ll have to try this recipe soon!

    • Thanks for your persistence, Catherine! This recipe yields a soft, not-too-sweet cookie (depending on how much goop you put on top of it!) Very addictive… but approved for younger audiences. :)

      • I don’t like pie or cake or many sweets. My weakness is sugar cookies and chocolate. I plan to put on at least five pounds when we make these. I also figured out how to post on Chocolate Chip, so I posted there. Thank you for introducing that site.
