Step 1:
In order to cook oranges baked in the oven, prepare the oranges themselves: juicy, ripe, as sweet as possible, of the correct shape, without damage. The most successful for such a dish will be fruits without dense, fleshy partitions. You will also need some brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
Step 2:
Wash the oranges thoroughly, cut into halves to make stable orange hemispheres.
Step 3:
With a knife with a sharp tip, carefully remove the visible orange seeds, then carefully walk, as far as possible, along the edge of the pulp, on the border with the peel. This is necessary in order to make it easier to eat ready-made oranges. Also cut the pulp itself into 4-6 sectors. Again, it will be more convenient to eat this way and when baking, sugar and cinnamon will get inside.
Step 4:
Mix brown sugar and ground cinnamon, sprinkle enough abundantly on the surface of the sliced oranges. Put the prepared fruits in an oven preheated to 200 degrees. Bake the oranges for about 5 minutes.
Step 5:
Serve ready-made oranges baked in the oven, preferably in a cooled form, decorated to your taste and accompanied by dessert teaspoons.
How to decorate oranges baked in the oven?
Chocolate icing or topping, powdered sugar, chopped soft nuts will do well. Whipped cream, a ball or two of vanilla ice cream will perfectly complement this dessert. Fresh mint or lemon balm leaves will be very successful and appropriate.
