Gingerbread with cocoa for jam

Simple, sweet, lush pie. Perfect for an evening tea party! For me, the taste of this pie is the taste of childhood, as my mother often baked it for us. And now I often bake myself for my family. It turns out very tasty, so dense and, at the same time, lush. If you like very sweet pastries, you can add half a cup of sugar to the dough. Or, alternatively, soak the cake with syrup.

Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 h 10 min

1. Put jam (any sour) in a bowl, add soda and mix until foam forms. Let stand for 10 minutes.

2. Break an egg into a cup, beat it with a fork and pour it into a bowl with jam. Mix it up.

3. Add kefir to the rest of the ingredients, mix the mass thoroughly.

4. Sift the flour. Enter it gradually into the dough, in small portions. Depending on the quality of flour, the density of jam and kefir, it may need a little less or more. The dough should turn out like thick sour cream - focus on the consistency.

5. Add cocoa and spices. Put the latter to taste - I always have small pinches, only I put cinnamon in large quantities, because I love it very much.

6. Grease the mold with vegetable oil, pour the dough into it and put it in a preheated 180 degree oven for 40-45 minutes.

7. Cool the finished gingerbread slightly and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve with a couple of spoonfuls of jam or sour cream.

Have a nice tea party!
