And I cook charlotte like this. I rub the softened butter with a blender with granulated sugar, vanilla sugar and the zest of half a lemon (I rub it on a grater). The mixture should turn out lush.
Without ceasing to beat, I introduce four eggs one at a time. I beat the mass until foam forms. Then gradually add wheat flour with baking powder. Sour apples ("Antonovka" is ideal) are cleaned and cut into slices.
Grease the baking dish with butter and sprinkle with flour. I put the prepared dough into the mold, and put the apple slices on top beautifully. Bake the charlotte in a preheated 180 degree oven until golden brown.
The readiness of the pie is easy to determine with a toothpick. I cut the charlotte with apples into segments and serve it to the table, sprinkled with powdered sugar. Have a nice autumn tea party!
