Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients. For fried cheese in breadcrumbs, we will need: a piece of cheese, an egg, breadcrumbs, dry garlic.
Step 2:
Mix breadcrumbs with dry garlic. You can add other spices to taste. For example, paprika, dried Provencal herbs.
Step 3:
Cut the cheese into large cubes of the same shape.
Step 4:
Beat the egg until smooth.
Step 5:
Dip the cheese cubes in the beaten egg and roll thoroughly in breadcrumbs. Dip the cheese cubes in the egg again and roll in breadcrumbs again.
Step 6:
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan and fry the cheese in it until golden brown.
Tender cheese and delicious crispy breading - it's impossible to break away!
Fried cheese will be much tastier if served with some sauce. For example, it can be a berry sweet and sour sauce: based on cranberries, cranberries, black or red currants. A great option is ketchup or tomato sauce with chopped coriander or parsley. Regular mayonnaise will also fit here, but as for me, it will be too greasy.
Breadcrumbs can be used store-bought or homemade. To do this, dry the white bread in the oven and grind in a blender into fine crumbs.
I have the usual gouda cheese. But you can use a special pizza mozzarella (not the one in the brine) or suluguni.
Despite the fact that friendly gatherings under a cheese plate are more often associated with the evening, in the afternoon it is better to refrain from cheese in any form. Dairy products are better absorbed in the morning, besides cheese is quite high in calories and eating it after lunch can lead to weight gain.
But for breakfast it is better to keep a couple of slices of this delicious delicacy.
