Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the products. Pre-defrost the fish.
Step 2:
Gut the mackerel, the black film inside must be removed. If you bake it with your head, then remove the gills and fins. Dry with a paper towel. Cut into pieces.
Step 3:
Peel the onion and cut into rings.
Step 4:
Fold the mackerel into the mold. I didn't use any oil, but you can lubricate the bottom of the mold with a small amount of vegetable oil. You can also line the mold with foil.
Step 5:
Put onion rings between the pieces of fish.
Step 6:
Wash the tomatoes and cut into slices.
Step 7:
Put tomatoes between fish and onion, alternating them. Season with salt, spices and sprinkle with lemon juice. Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for about half an hour.
Step 8:
Garnish with herbs and lemon when serving.
Mackerel is a sea fish, it is not only very useful, but also affordable. Mackerel is rich in important elements and omega-fats. Cooking it is simple and not troublesome. Salted mackerel is very tasty, it can also be baked and fried. As companion vegetables, you can take absolutely any specimens, beans, zucchini, potatoes, and just carrots with onions will do. It is not necessary to lay the fish in layers, as in my recipe, you can just put the fish on a vegetable substrate. If you cook with potatoes, then splash a little water so that the potatoes are better cooked. It is also not necessary to cut the fish. Leave the whole carcass, making incisions on it. Or stuff her belly with vegetables. You can simply wrap the fish and vegetables in foil and bake in it. Fish loves lemon, so do not neglect it when cooking. You can serve baked mackerel both hot and cold.
