Composition / ingredients
Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients according to the list. As a berry base, I used gooseberries, currants and sea buckthorn, these berries are similar in density and taste. It is impossible to combine, for example, such loose berries as strawberries, raspberries and dense gooseberries. These berries require different time for aging. The berries should be well ripe, but not overripe and spoiled.
Step 2:
It is better to freeze the berries in the freezer so that they give all their useful properties and taste to the alcoholic base during infusion. Fresh berries are carefully sorted, we remove the damaged berries, rinse well, let the liquid drain, we throw the berries into a colander. The berries are sent to the freezer for several hours for freezing.
Step 3:
Then take out, let the berries thaw at room temperature. We put the thawed berries in a glass container. Fill the berries with sugar.
Step 4:
Pour vodka so that it completely covers the berries with sugar, it is better to fill the container completely and use cans, they are more convenient. We close the dishes with a nylon lid or a rubber stopper, shake well so that the sugar dissolves. We put the jar with the workpiece in a cool place at room temperature, conveniently in the cupboard in the kitchen. We leave the tincture for infusing for a month and a half, the longer the tincture is aged, the richer its taste will turn out.
Step 5:
Shake the jar of tincture once a week, for better infusion. Then the tincture is filtered through gauze, folded in several layers with cotton wool.
Step 6:
It is better to filter the tincture repeatedly, after a little more exposure, so that the precipitate is completely removed. We pour the tincture into bottles. We seal the bottles and put them away for storage in a cool place. The tincture is ready.
Berry tincture can be served to the festive table, the sweet taste and pleasant aroma of the drink will appeal to women. Also, such a drink can be used as a basis for the preparation of alcoholic cocktails. In addition, all berries are rich in a special set of vitamins that turn into a drink during the infusion process, so the tincture can also be used as a medicine, using it in moderate doses, for example, a teaspoon a couple of times a day as a preventive for colds, against vitamin deficiency and depression, to improve blood pressure, circulation and cardio-vascular system.
