Viburnum compote

Refreshing compote. Health in every mouthful! Viburnum is a berry that grows in Belarus. My grandmother uses it to prepare such a culinary recipe as a drink compote from viburnum. It is used not only as a food, but also as a medicine. Kalina treats cough well.

    Since it's winter outside, my viburnum is frozen. But I froze it myself, back in the season. Stripped from the twigs, washed, dried and put in the freezer.

    While the water was boiling, I decided to mash the berries as indicated in the recipe. Since they have already melted in just 10 minutes at room temperature.

    In the end, almost the whole kitchen was like after a bloodbath)))) everything is splashed, no matter how carefully I perform this process)))

    On the floor of the process of kneading viburnum berries, I sent it into boiling water and began to gently knead the berries with a ladle against the walls of the pan. And everything turned out much more aesthetically pleasing. The water extinguished the splashes and everything remained in the pan and clean. the rest of the actions according to the recipe. I used sugar, because we have pancakes with honey for this compote. So that there is no overkill for honey.

    That's such a beautiful drink turned out in the end. The most important thing is that it is useful, especially in the middle of winter.

If you like sugary drinks, then add sugar or honey to your taste, if you are not allergic to it. Pour the drink into bottles or cans. Keep the drink closed in a cool place. Drink it all winter round and be healthy!

There is another way to prepare a drink of compote from viburnum. Put the berries in a saucepan. cover with sugar. The berries will give juice. Drain it. Add honey or sugar. Add water. Instead of regular water, you can take carbonated water. that's all.
