Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the products. Cranberries must first be thawed at room temperature. Take filtered or bottled water, so the drink will taste better.
Step 2:
Wash the thawed berries under cold running water. Let the water drain.
Step 3:
You can mash cranberries in two ways - either with a blender or with a wooden pestle. The first method is faster, the second will preserve vitamins better. I got a fairly hard variety of cranberries, so I didn't take the pestle, I used a blender.
Step 4:
Now you need to squeeze the juice out of the crushed cranberries. To do this, take gauze, fold it into several layers and squeeze out the juice in small portions. Be careful, the gauze may burst with too much pressure, you will have to wash the kitchen for a long time (based on personal experience).
Step 5:
Put the resulting juice in the refrigerator.
Step 6:
Fill the remaining pomace with cold water and put it on fire. Pour in the sugar.
Step 7:
Bring to a boil and cook for one minute, no more. Leave the pot with the future morse to cool.
Step 8:
The cooled morse should be filtered. It is possible through a sieve, it is possible through gauze.
Step 9:
It remains to mix the boiled base with fresh juice. You can serve it on the table.
To make the drink as healthy as possible, you can use honey instead of sugar. It should be added to the already cooled juice to preserve all the useful properties of honey. But this is if you are not allergic to it. They also make mors without heat treatment. To do this, the pomace is simply stirred with cooled boiled water, the drink is filtered and mixed with juice. For mors, it is better to buy small berries, larger varieties are a little dry, and not so much juice comes out of them, although they are less acidic, well suited for children. It is better to store the finished morse in a glass container.
