Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 10 d 1 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare the ingredients according to the list. Mint can be bought at the market or collected on your site, the second option is, of course, better. Suitable varieties of mint – peppermint and garden. If it is not possible to use fresh raw materials, you can buy dry mint at the pharmacy. As an alcoholic base, you can use vodka, alcohol or well-purified moonshine. In the first case, the drink will turn out to be softer and more delicate in taste.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Mint is well washed, dried, as a raw material for the preparation of liquor, you can use not only the leaves, but also the stems of the plant. Mint goes well with many fruits, mint harmonizes especially well with lemon, so use it for making a drink. We put mint in a glass container, pour vodka. We clog the dishes and put them in a dark place with room temperature for 10 days.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Be sure to shake the dishes with tincture once a day.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

After the specified time, we filter the tincture through gauze, squeeze out all the liquid from the mint greens and throw it away.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Pour clean water into a metal bowl, add sugar, put on fire, let the mixture boil, boil the syrup for about 5 minutes, removing the foam. Instead of sugar, you can use liquid honey, it will make the taste of the drink softer and create a pleasant aftertaste. In this case, it is not necessary to boil the liquid with honey, so that the useful substances contained in honey do not evaporate. It is enough to warm up the mixture by stirring with a spoon so that the honey completely dissolves. We give the syrup

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Combine mint tincture and sugar syrup.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Mix the liquid and bottle it, pass the mixture through the gauze again to prevent the passage of the smallest particles of grass into the bottles.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

We seal them and put them away for storage in a dark, cool place. With prolonged storage, the liquor can change color from green to olive or brown, there is nothing wrong with that, it does not affect the taste. If a precipitate has fallen to the bottom of the bottle, the liquor should be filtered again through gauze with cotton wool. Such a drink is stored in a dark, cool place for about 2-3 years. The strength of the liquor depends on the alcoholic base and the degree of dilution with syrup.
