Composition / ingredients
Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make a simple pie in a slow cooker? Prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. Be sure to sift the flour to saturate it with oxygen. Take the milk out of the refrigerator in advance so that it heats up to room temperature.
Step 2:
Drive the egg into a suitable container in which you plan to knead the dough.
Step 3:
Add sugar, but do not beat for a long time. You just need to rub it with an egg with a fork, whisk or spoon, as convenient.
Step 4:
Pour milk into a bowl. Mix this mass thoroughly in the same way.
Step 5:
In a separate small container, mix a little flour with baking powder, pour it into a container with dough. Add the rest of the flour in parts and, if desired, vanilla sugar or vanillin according to the instructions.
Step 6:
Note that flour differs in properties, and therefore it may need more or less than indicated in the recipe. Focus on the consistency of the dough. It should be like pancakes or thick sour cream, homogeneous, without lumps. Knead the dough with a silicone spatula in one direction, stirring from the bottom up.
Step 7:
Pour boiling water over dried apricots and raisins. Leave on for 5-10 minutes to become soft. Drain the water and dry the dried fruits with paper towels.
Step 8:
Cut dried apricots into small pieces.
Step 9:
Send dried fruits to the dough. Mix the dough again.
Step 10:
So that the pie does not burn, lubricate the bowl of the slow cooker (and the bottom, and the walls) with butter and pour the dough into it. Smooth the surface of the dough with a spatula and send it to the slow cooker. Turn on the slow cooker in the "baking" mode. If you don't have the "baking" function, select "multi-cooker". After 40-50 minutes (look at your technique), the pie will be ready. But do not rush to take it out immediately. Open the multi cover and wait for 10 minutes. So it will cool down a little and will not settle.
Step 11:
Take out the cake using a steaming basket or a flat cake plate. Decorate the pastries to your liking. I decorated it with dried fruits, candied fruits, nuts, fresh mint leaves, sprinkled the top of the cake with powdered sugar through a strainer. You can decorate with icing, crushed nuts, poppy seeds or chocolate.
If you like, add a little ground cinnamon to the dough.
Instead of dried fruits, you can use frozen berries, slices of fruit.
The pie can be cut into cakes and smeared with any cream or jam.
Instead of sugar, you can use a sweetener that is not afraid of heat treatment.
Keep in mind that the cooking time and mode are indicated approximately in the recipe. All slow cookers work differently and even the same models of the same manufacturer may have their own characteristics. Before you start cooking a new dish for you in a slow cooker, carefully study the instructions for it, and then in practice try to cook dishes that are familiar to you first, and then new ones, choosing the mode and time individually for your own technique.
