Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 2 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make fruit marmalade? Prepare the products. You can take any juice — both purchased and cooked at home. The taste can be absolutely any. Adjust the amount of sugar depending on the sweetness of the juice used.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Pour the juice into a suitable cooking dish. Pour gelatin into the juice, mix well and leave for 20 minutes to swell.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

This is what the swollen gelatin looks like.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Put the pot of juice on the stove on a small fire.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Boil the juice, stirring constantly, until the gelatin is completely dissolved. I added sugar at this stage after trying the finished product. Here you can see according to your taste. In the warm juice, the sugar will quickly dissolve.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Pour the slightly cooled juice into the molds. It is convenient to do this with dishes with a spout. You can take silicone molds, ice molds or ordinary flat-bottomed dishes. The finished layer will then just need to be cut.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Out of my number of products came this shape and a bowl with a diameter of 20 cm with a layer of 2 cm.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

To remove the foam from the surface of the marmalade, blot it with a paper towel.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Put the marmalade molds in the refrigerator for at least an hour, preferably overnight.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Remove the frozen marmalade from the mold.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

If you wish, you can roll it in sugar, then the marmalade will turn out just like a store, but my sugar began to melt, so I washed it off. Enjoy your meal!

For the preparation of this marmalade, I used ready-made grapefruit juice, but you can take absolutely any, even compote will do! It will turn out very nicely if the juice is without pulp, then the marmalades will turn out transparent. You can also take natural juice, made by yourself. Then the amount of sugar will need to be adjusted to taste. Since my juice is citrus, I didn't add lemon juice. If you take more neutral flavors, add it, it will give the marmalade a slight sourness. If the juice from which you make marmalade does not have a pronounced color, add food coloring, it will be a lot of fun! If the marmalade is difficult to remove from the mold, lower it into hot water for a few seconds.

Instead of sugar, you can use a sweetener that is not afraid of heat treatment.
