Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 2 d 25 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make warming winter tea? First, prepare all the necessary ingredients according to the list. Such tea should be started with an orange. At the same time, it needs to be prepared in advance, or rather, not the orange itself, but its skin, it will need to be dried, and this takes some time. To do this, start preparing at least two days before you want to taste this tea.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

So, take an orange and peel the skin (the orange slices themselves will not be used in this recipe). Cut the orange crusts into small cubes, put them on a board or plate and leave them like this. They will slowly dry out. In two days they will be ready to be used.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Next, chop the cinnamon sticks and cloves. To do this, put them in the center of the towel. Wrap the towel itself so that it turns out like a bag of spices. Put the bag with the contents on the work surface and make a few hammer blows on the bag. It will take a few minutes (I warn you that it will be a little noisy and not very convenient, so I put the board on the granite).

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Then take the container in which you will mix all the ingredients. For convenience, it is better to use a deep bowl. Put black tea, pieces of orange peels, crushed cinnamon and cloves in a bowl, and add a little cardamom. Mix everything well so that all the components of the tea are evenly distributed among themselves. Tea in dry form is ready. Now make some tea.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

To do this, boil the water, properly prepare the teapot. Pour boiling water over it. This is done in order to wash off dirt, get rid of the aroma of the previous infusion, warm up the container and disinfect it. Then pour the tea into the teapot (how much to pour depends on the tea used, the volume of the teapot itself and taste preferences, but if on average, then there is 1 tsp per 150 ml of water).

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Pour boiling water over everything, close the lid and brew for 5-7 minutes.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Enjoy a bright, fragrant, spicy, warming tea!

In order for the tea to retain its freshness, aroma and noble taste, it should be stored either in special containers for storing tea, or in a special foil package (just leave the bag from the previous used tea bought in the store and then pour the freshly prepared one into it).

For cooking, it is better to use neutral to taste filtered or bottled water. If you use tap water, keep in mind that it can give the dish an unpleasant characteristic taste.
