The Simplest Sweet-and-Sour Cranberry Sauce

This wonderful sauce brings a pop of color and flavor to almost any dish! To my mind, cranberry sauce is a fantastic match for roasted and pan-fried meats — beef, lamb, and pork. I make it often, and here's how I do it.

  • Add the sugar to a saucepan and pour in the water. Boil for five minutes, stirring. Purée the cranberries in a blender and stir them into the syrup. Cook for another five minutes, stirring, then take it off the heat. Your cranberry sauce is ready!
