Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
To prepare the dish, you will need: any frozen vegetables that you have in the freezer, sunflower oil, salt and ground hot pepper.
Step 2:
Pour water over frozen vegetables at room temperature, dropping them into a colander. This will get rid of frost crystals. It is absolutely not necessary to completely defrost vegetables. I have a mixture of Brussels sprouts and cauliflower, string beans, peas and carrots. But in fact, you can choose absolutely any vegetables: bell peppers, corn, potatoes, mushrooms, broccoli cabbage and much, much more.
Step 3:
Grease the baking dish with a tablespoon of sunflower oil. This will allow the vegetables not to burn to the bottom. Distribute the vegetables in the form to ensure uniformity of their preparation.
Step 4:
Pour a small amount of sunflower oil on top of the vegetables. So they will not dry out when cooking, and will become more appetizing and shiny. If you like olive oil more, then feel free to replace sunflower oil with it.
Step 5:
It remains only to add salt and pepper to the vegetables on top to taste and put the mold in a preheated oven to one hundred and eighty degrees for about half an hour. Cooking time may vary, focus on your oven, the appearance of vegetables and the desired softness. I love it when the vegetables are a little crunchy inside.
Perhaps any frozen vegetable mixture of industrial production can be prepared according to this recipe. Fortunately, the choice is huge now.
If you don't want to waste time washing the baking dish, then you can use special disposable baking trays. They are suitable for use in the oven and will save a lot of precious time!
If desired, you can supplement such a vegetable side dish with your favorite spices and herbs. In my opinion, a sprig of fresh rosemary is perfect here.
I wish you a pleasant appetite!
