Step 1:
To prepare the crostata, you will need: egg yolks, sugar, butter, salt, flour, apricot jam.
Step 2:
Cut the cooled butter into cubes.
Step 3:
Add sugar to the butter.
Step 4:
Rub butter with sugar.
Step 5:
Pour in the flour sifted with salt.
Step 6:
Rub everything until crumbs form.
Step 7:
Beat the yolks, add to the flour mass, mix. Knead the dough.
Step 8:
Form a ball of dough.
Step 9:
1/3 of the test separate. Wrap each part separately in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for 40 minutes. It will be easier to work with the cooled dough.
Step 10:
If necessary, cover the prepared baking dish with oiled parchment. On a table sprinkled with flour, roll out most of the dough. Transfer the dough to the mold, flatten along the bottom, make the sides at least 3 cm high.
Step 11:
Chop the dough gently with a fork.
Step 12:
Put jam on the dough.
Step 13:
Take the remaining dough out of the refrigerator, roll it out on a floured table into a layer. Cut into strips about 1 cm wide.
Step 14:
Lay the strips on top of the filling in the form of a mesh.
Step 15:
I have a few strips left, I connected them to the sides. The sides must be bent to the filling and slightly pressed.
Step 16:
Bake the pie in a preheated 190 degree oven for 30 minutes until golden brown.
Step 17:
Cool the finished cake completely and serve it to the table. Have a nice tea party!
Italian crostata does not have a strictly defined recipe, so you can show imagination and cook based on your tastes.
Pie can be sweet and snack. But the first option is still a priority.
Any thick jam, jam or confiture is suitable for filling. You can also use fresh fruits or berries, add any nuts.
