Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare all the ingredients. Wash and dry the chicken legs. Season with salt and ground black pepper and leave for 20 minutes. Optionally, you can use your favorite spices – chicken seasoning, paprika, etc. – whatever you like. Cut the cheese into small rectangles, detach the skin from the fillet and insert a cheese plate into the pocket. Defrost the puff pastry and roll it out with a rolling pin to a thickness of 0.5 cm .
Step 2:
Cut the dough into strips 1 cm wide and wrap the chicken drumsticks with dough starting from the wide side.
Step 3:
Cover the baking sheet with baking paper and grease it with vegetable oil. Place the shins on a baking sheet. Break the eggs and carefully separate the yolks from the whites. We will need only yolks, you can make an omelet from proteins or use it to prepare another dish. To get a beautiful golden crust, apply a layer of mixed egg yolks on top of the dough with a brush.
Step 4:
Send the chicken drumsticks in puff pastry in a preheated 180 degree oven for 1 hour. Put the finished legs on a platter, decorate as desired and serve to the table. Chicken legs in puff pastry are ready! Enjoy your meal!
