Cooking method
Apples with cinnamon are a traditional flavor combination, there are a huge number of recipes with this filling, besides apples are the most common fruit in the vastness of our Homeland. Now I will show you how to make muffins with apples and cinnamon from puff pastry. Muffins are a mini version of a pie, they are convenient because they are served in portions.
Stages of making muffins with apples and cinnamon.
1. Roll out the dough into a thin layer (the thinner you roll out the dough, the more beautiful the future "snail" will be), lubricate with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon so that it covers the entire dough layer (it took me 2 tablespoons with a slide). Next, we roll everything into a roll, carefully pinch the edges so that they do not untwist and cut, about 0.5 cm thick
.
2. Lubricate the muffin mold with butter (so that the cooked muffins easily pop out of it), spread the dough and press with your fingers. Lubricate the resulting base with egg.
3. For the filling, we take peeled and diced apples, add lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon, toasted walnut (walnut must be fried, so it reveals all its taste qualities) and flour. Mix everything and put the filling in a muffin mold. You need to put more fillings, with a slide, since during baking the apples will decrease in volume.
4. We make muffin lids as follows: we take the "snails" from the dough, put them on the board, cover them with baking paper, or, as in my case, with cling film and roll them into a thin layer, cut out the mugs and cover the muffins, tightly pinching the edges. On top of the resulting blank, lubricate with egg, sprinkle with a small amount of sugar, to form a caramel crust, make an incision on top and put it in a preheated 180 degree oven for 40 minutes.
Serve with ice cream, caramel, or whipped cream.
Bon appetit!
