Ginger with Lemon and Honey for Immunity and Weight Loss
A vitamin bomb that gives your immune system a boost! Ginger with lemon and honey revs up your metabolism and helps flush out excess fluid, so it supports weight loss while doing your body good.
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
How do you make ginger with lemon and honey? Prepare all the ingredients. The ginger should be firm and strongly aromatic. Choose the largest roots, which are easier to peel. Use good-quality natural honey - it helps if you personally know who you're buying it from, so you can be more confident it's the real thing. The lemons should be firm, with whole, unblemished yellow skin.
-
Step 2:
Peel the ginger root and cut it into large pieces. Put the peeled ginger into a food processor.
-
Step 3:
Wash the lemon and cut it into slices so you can pick out the seeds. Don't remove the zest - it's full of beneficial compounds that shouldn't go to waste.
-
Step 4:
Add the sliced lemon to the ginger.
-
Step 5:
Grind the ginger and lemon into a smooth mixture. If you don't have a food processor, you can run everything through a meat grinder.
-
Step 6:
Add the honey to the ginger-lemon mixture. It's fine if the honey has crystallized - just warm it slightly in the microwave.
-
Step 7:
Stir all the ingredients together into a uniform mixture.
-
Step 8:
Transfer the mixture to a jar, cover it, and store it in the fridge. It'll be ready to use after a day.
-
Step 9:
You can stir this mixture into tea or just mix it with water, adding a couple of mint leaves to the tea if you like. To support your immune system, take 1 tablespoon every morning. It helps ward off colds and viruses and gives you an energy boost.
-
Step 10:
Ginger is energizing, so it's best not to drink it in the evening. Enjoy this healthful treat!
- Ginger drinks rejuvenate the body, tone the blood vessels, and ease muscle cramps. They're packed with beneficial compounds.
- Honey is a good antimicrobial and antibacterial agent.
- Lemon floods the body with vitamin C and helps fight sore throats and high blood pressure.
- For weight loss, drink it 3 times a day - about 15 minutes before breakfast on an empty stomach, before lunch, and before dinner - dissolving a tablespoon of the mixture in 200 ml (about 1 cup) of liquid. At the same time, cut your carbs down to a minimum.
- I take this drink for 14 days, then take a break.
