Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to bake chicken legs with mushrooms in the oven? Prepare the products. I took 20% cream, they are the most suitable for sauces. Mushrooms can be taken absolutely any. And in general, this recipe is great for any parts of the chicken, not just the legs. Choose seasonings and spices to taste. You can use a ready-made seasoning for chicken, it goes well with chicken curry.
Step 2:
Wash the chicken legs, dry them, put them in a bowl. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and spices. Mix well. You can leave the chicken in this form to lie down for a while so that it is soaked in flavors and salt. But you can cook right away.
Step 3:
Take a baking dish, put the chicken legs in it.
Step 4:
Clean the mushrooms from dirt. It is better not to wash them, because mushrooms absorb water like a sponge, which worsens their taste qualities. You can only lightly rinse the mushrooms under the tap if they get very dirty. Cut the mushrooms into small pieces.
Step 5:
Put the mushrooms in the mold to the chicken.
Step 6:
Mix sour cream and cream until smooth. You can add garlic or finely chopped greens to the resulting sauce.
Step 7:
Pour the resulting sauce over the chicken and mushrooms. Spoon the sauce over the entire form. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Bake the legs with mushrooms for 30-40 minutes.
Step 8:
While the chicken is baking, grate the cheese. On a small or large — it does not matter.
Step 9:
Remove the mold from the oven, sprinkle grated cheese on top. Return to the oven and bake for another 15 minutes, before the cheese melts and a golden crust forms. Serve the finished dish to the table with or without a side dish. Bon appetit!
The legs turned out very tasty! The meat is soft, tender, with creamy mushroom sauce. The cheese has melted to an appetizing crust.
It is better to serve this dish hot. As a side dish, anything will do — rice, potatoes, and pasta. It will also be delicious with buckwheat or vegetables.
In this dish, you can add onions, cut into half rings.
Chicken and mushrooms can be lightly fried before laying in the mold. First fry the chicken, then the mushrooms, pour cream into the mushrooms, thicken with flour. Put the chicken in the sauce and bake until tender.
Instead of fresh, you can take frozen or dried mushrooms (dried ones will need 5-6 times less than fresh ones). Frozen mushrooms can be defrosted in any convenient way (for example, in the microwave in the appropriate mode - see the instructions for your technique) and drain the liquid. Or, if the amount of liquid in the recipe is not critical, use without defrosting. Dried mushrooms should be washed well, since they are not washed before drying, and then soaked in cold water for at least 2-3 hours.
Any cheese is suitable for this dish — hard, semi-hard, soft, like mozzarella. The main thing is that it is tasty, high-quality, without milk fat substitutes and melts well.
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
