Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
In order to cook potatoes "Idaho" in the oven, it is necessary to prepare the necessary products so as not to miss or forget anything. Choose medium-sized potatoes and the right shape, so that it is convenient to cut them into slices. Rinse the tubers thoroughly with a stiff brush, since the potatoes will be baked together with the peel, it is important to clean the skin as much as possible.
Step 2:
In a spacious bowl, combine vegetable oil, mustard, salt, ground paprika, ketchup (of any degree of burning), garlic (you can take fresh, crushed into mush, but I like the flavor of granulated, it is not so aggressive and sharp). The dish can be "enhanced" to your taste with additional spices such as ground black pepper, hot ground pepper, chili,...
Step 3:
Add clean and finely chopped herbs: parsley and dill (you only need soft tops, hard part, stems must be removed).
Step 4:
Mix and put potatoes, cut into slices and pre-blanched in boiling water for 2-3 minutes in this oily spicy mixture. Stir the potatoes with a spoon or with your hands so that every millimeter of potatoes is covered with "sauce".
Step 5:
Put the potato slices in one layer on a baking sheet. Parchment paper is not required, because the abundance of oil will not allow the potatoes to stick to the baking sheet, but you can use parchment paper or special baking mats to make sure.
Step 6:
Put the potatoes in a preheated 200 degree oven and bake for about 30 minutes. It is not necessary to mix it. The finished potatoes "Idaho" should be nicely browned, and become soft inside.
Amazing baked potatoes taste.
