- Dissolve the yeast in warm water, add the sugar and 1 teaspoon of flour, and let it stand for 15 minutes until it starts to foam. Put the flour in a bowl, pour in the milk and the yeast mixture, and stir. Let this sponge rest for an hour. Add the remaining flour, the salt, the egg, and the softened butter. Knead into a dough and divide it into balls. Use jam for the filling if you like. Shape the pies and fry them right away in vegetable oil until golden.
