Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 2 hours
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make a lush mannikin with milk in a slow cooker? Fast and simple enough. First, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. Take the flour of the highest grade. You can take any fat content of milk. Vegetable oil - any to taste, I have sunflower. If the eggs are small, it is better to take 3 pieces.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Warm up the milk with butter, but do not bring it to a boil. The oil should melt completely.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Pour semolina into the hot milk, mix and leave for at least 30 minutes (preferably longer) to swell.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Beat eggs with sugar into a fluffy foam. The mass should lighten and increase in volume by about 3-4 times. There should be a lot of air bubbles on the surface.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Pour in the vegetable oil and whisk again.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

In the egg mass, put the swollen semolina, vanilla and mix. Vanillin can be replaced with 1 tbsp vanilla sugar.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Pour the flour sifted with baking powder in parts, beating the mass thoroughly each time until smooth. A homogeneous, semi-empty fluid mass should be obtained. Do not rush to add all the flour at once - focus on the consistency.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

You can use any berries or fruits for the filling. It can be currants, blueberries, strawberries, peaches, apples, etc. Berries can be taken fresh or frozen.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

If you use frozen berries, pre-defrost them and drain the released juice. I used frozen black currants.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Roll the prepared berries in flour.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Brush the bowl of the slow cooker with butter and sprinkle with semolina. Pour out some of the dough. Spread the berries on top. You can immediately mix all the berries into the dough and put them in a mold, but I prefer to lay them out with my hands. So it will turn out more evenly.

  12. Step 12:

    Step 12.

Pour the remaining dough on top.

  13. Step 13:

    Step 13.

Close the lid of the slow cooker and set the appliance to the Baking mode for 65-70 minutes. The exact baking time depends on the model and brand of your slow cooker. Also keep in mind that the temperature of the "Baking" mode may vary in different models. My default is 130°C. Such a mannikin can be cooked in the oven. Bake for about 50 minutes at 180 ° C. Bon appetit!

Be prepared for the fact that you may need more or less flour than indicated in the recipe. Focus not on the amount of flour, but on the desired consistency of the dough. To avoid mistakes, read about flour and its properties!

Keep in mind that the cooking time and mode are indicated approximately in the recipe. All slow cookers work differently and even the same models of the same manufacturer may have their own characteristics. Before you start cooking a new dish for you in a slow cooker, carefully study the instructions for it, and then in practice try to cook dishes that are familiar to you first, and then new ones, choosing the mode and time individually for your own technique.
