"Traffic Light" Cookies with M&M's
Beautiful, eye-catching cookies — kids will love them.
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
Get all the ingredients ready.
-
Step 2:
Sift the wheat flour and powdered sugar together and stir.
-
Step 3:
Break the chocolate into pieces. Melt the butter and chocolate over a water bath, stirring constantly.
-
Step 4:
Pour all the hot chocolate into the flour at once.
-
Step 5:
Knead with a silicone spatula until smooth.
-
Step 6:
Shape the dough into a log and wrap it in parchment paper or plastic wrap. You can give the log a round, triangular, or rectangular shape, depending on what kind of cookies you want. Put it in the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes so the dough firms up just slightly but doesn't get hard.
-
Step 7:
Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F). Sprinkle a few drops of water on a baking sheet and lay down parchment paper. Unwrap the dough and cut it with a sharp knife into 1 cm cookies. Arrange the cookies on the parchment, spaced apart, and put them in the oven for a couple of minutes. This softens the cookies slightly so they don't crack when you press in the M&M's.
-
Step 8:
Arrange the M&M's on the cookies and press them in a little. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes. Always go by your own oven. Let them cool. The traffic light cookies are ready. Enjoy!
