Juicy Chopped Chicken Breast Patties
Fast and delicious, no meat grinder needed — a treat any day! I love these juicy chopped chicken breast patties for how simple and easy they are to make. Serve them for a weeknight or holiday dinner with any side dish or a fresh vegetable salad!
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
How do you make juicy chopped chicken breast patties? Get everything you need ready. You can use meat from any part of the chicken; I'll be using breast fillets. My eggs are large.
-
Step 2:
Cut the chicken into small pieces — the smaller the better. Transfer the chopped meat to a separate bowl.
-
Step 3:
Peel the onion and rinse it in cold water. Chop it as finely as you can and add it to the bowl with the meat.
-
Step 4:
Next add the finely chopped dill and the eggs.
-
Step 5:
Add the sour cream. Peel the garlic and press it into the bowl. Season with a little salt and spices to taste — I use ground pepper and a bit of paprika.
-
Step 6:
Add some flour to the bowl.
-
Step 7:
Mix everything together thoroughly until well combined. A large spoon makes this easy. The mixture will be fairly wet.
-
Step 8:
Heat a skillet until hot and add a little vegetable oil. Spoon small mounds of the mixture into the pan and fry the patties for 2–3 minutes per side.
-
Step 9:
The finished patties turn an appetizing golden color. Chicken cooks nice and fast.
-
Step 10:
The juicy chicken patties are ready! Serve them hot with any side dish and some fresh vegetables. Enjoy!
- Important! The wrong pan can ruin even the best recipe. A good heavy skillet that heats evenly makes all the difference here.
- There's an easy way to check whether the oil is hot enough: dip a wooden spatula into it. If bubbles gather around it, you're ready to start frying.
- How do you tell if an egg is fresh? Crack it into a separate bowl. First off, there should be no off smell. The white of a fresh egg is clear and clean, and the yolk holds together in a shiny, domed, even shape rather than spreading out.
