Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients. To prepare a chicken salad with pineapple, apple and celery, we will need: chicken fillet, canned pineapples, celery stalk, sweet and sour juicy apples (Semerinka variety, Granny Smith), spices for chicken (optional), mayonnaise, vegetable oil for frying and salt.
Step 2:
Wash the chicken fillet, dry it and cut it into cubes.
Step 3:
Season the meat with salt, pepper, sprinkle with curry and mix. I had ready-made spices for chicken containing ground pepper, so I didn't pepper the meat additionally.
Step 4:
Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken fillet on it until tender. Transfer the finished chicken to a plate.
Step 5:
Remove the pineapples from the jar and shake off the syrup. Cut the fruit into cubes. The celery stalk is also cut into small thin cubes.
Step 6:
Rinse the apple thoroughly, remove the tail and core, peel (optional) and cut into small cubes.
Step 7:
In a salad bowl, combine fried chicken fillet, canned pineapples, sliced apple and celery.
Step 8:
Season the salad with mayonnaise.
Step 9:
Mix everything well and serve. Nice appetite!
To make the salad less fatty and high-calorie, mayonnaise can be replaced with low-fat sour cream (10-15% fat content) or natural yogurt without additives.
And do not fry the chicken breast fillet, but bake it in the oven with spices entirely and then cut into small pieces.
The combination of chicken breast and celery is quite satisfying, due to the protein content in chicken meat, so such a dish can be safely served as an independent breakfast, lunch and dinner.
You can also add peanuts fried in a dry pan or peeled pistachios to the salad. In addition to the apple, you can add kiwi, green grapes and any ready-made salad mixture to the salad. All this will make the salad more nutritious.
