Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make potato casserole with mushrooms in the oven? Prepare the products. You can take any mushrooms — oyster mushrooms, champignons or forest mushrooms, like mine. Wash and peel the potatoes well.
Step 2:
Peel the forest mushrooms, rinse and boil in boiling water for 30 minutes. Then drain the hot water, flip the mushrooms into a colander and rinse. Champignons or oyster mushrooms do not need to be boiled beforehand, just peel them and cut them.
Step 3:
Prepare the baking dish. Lubricate the bottom and sides of the mold with vegetable oil. Peel the onion from the husk, rinse and chop. Spread the chopped onion on the bottom of the baking dish.
Step 4:
Cut the peeled potatoes into strips and put them in a mold, on top of the chopped onion. Sprinkle the potatoes with a little salt and spices to your liking.
Step 5:
Then put the boiled mushrooms on the potatoes. Add a little salt. Pour cream evenly over the entire surface.
Step 6:
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater and sprinkle the whole casserole liberally. Put the mold in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees, for 40 minutes. When baking, the top will become an appetizing golden color.
Step 7:
Remove the finished casserole from the oven, cool slightly and serve to the table. Enjoy your meal!
I think this casserole will be appreciated by fans of healthy eating. There is no meat in it at all, but, thanks to mushrooms, it is very satisfying, since mushrooms can quite replace meat in their nutritional value.
Potatoes can be taken both raw, like mine, and boiled. For example, if you have mashed potatoes left, it can be used in such a casserole. When cooking, be guided by the tastes of your family
Instead of cream, you can use sour cream or a small amount of mayonnaise.
In such a casserole, you can add additional ingredients, such as tomatoes, zucchini. And for the flavor, you can use a small amount of crushed garlic.
Root vegetables are best washed with a brush or a hard sponge under running water.
In order for the oven to have time to heat up to the desired temperature, turn it on in advance (10-20 minutes before the start of cooking).
Keep in mind that everyone has different ovens. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
