- Pour half of the coconut milk into a saucepan and set it over the heat to warm. 2. In a bowl, stir together the cornstarch and vanilla sugar. 3. Pour the remaining cold coconut milk into that mixture and stir again. 4. Now pour the cold milk, cornstarch, and sugar mixture into the milk simmering on the stove, whisking constantly. Take it off the heat right away. 5. Keep stirring until the mixture thickens. 6. Spoon the dessert into dessert cups or molds. 7. Let it cool completely, and then it's ready to eat. That said, I'd still recommend chilling it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours — it gets even more delicious and refreshing. Enjoy!
