Dry-Yeast Dough with Milk
A very simple recipe for a great dough for any baking! I often bake, and to make the process faster I use this quick yeast-dough recipe. With it you can make sweet and savory baked or fried pastries. Now I'll share how to make it.
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
The ingredients.
-
Step 2:
So, we start by dissolving the dry yeast in warmed milk,
-
Step 3:
with granulated sugar stirred into it.
-
Step 4:
Now sift the flour through a sieve into a bowl,
-
Step 5:
and pour in the yeast dissolved in milk.
-
Step 6:
Leave the mixture to ferment for 15–20 minutes.
-
Step 7:
Then add the egg,
-
Step 8:
the vegetable oil,
-
Step 9:
If there's flour left, mix it in and add the salt.
-
Step 10:
Mix and knead into a smooth, elastic dough that doesn't stick to your hands. This usually takes about 10 minutes — don't skimp on the time or effort. The quality of your baking depends on it.
-
Step 11:
Once the dough is properly kneaded, slap it against the counter; this makes it softer and lets the excess air out.
-
Step 12:
Now shape the dough into a smooth ball and let it rest for just a couple of minutes. Right after that, you can use the dough however you like.
-
Step 13:
You can bake hand pies, pies, and anything else you like.
-
Step 14:
Enjoy!
