Pork Medallions with Pineapple
A simple, hearty, good-looking meat dish! What could be better? A juicy piece of freshly cooked meat is always a sure bet for any occasion. It's delicious, and the aroma... mmmm.
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
Gather your ingredients. Rinse the pork well, cut it into slices about a finger's width thick (roughly ¾ inch), and pound them just slightly.
-
Step 2:
Sear in a hot skillet for 5 minutes per side. It's important that the pan is really hot — that way all the juices stay sealed inside the meat.
-
Step 3:
Season with salt and pepper. Once seared, cover with a lid so the meat doesn't cool down.
-
Step 4:
Grate the cheese on any grater.
-
Step 5:
Top the medallions with pineapple pieces, then sprinkle grated cheese over each one. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes. To check for doneness, pierce the meat with a sharp knife: if the juices run clear, it's ready!
-
Step 6:
Serve on its own, garnished with fresh herbs.
- Just writing this up got my mouth watering! Give it a go — this fuss-free dish might just become one of your favorites!
