Cooking method
1. Pour semolina into a suitable container, pour sour milk. Stir and leave the mixture to stand for an hour.
2. Time has passed - the semolina has swollen. Break the eggs into a separate bowl, add sugar to them. Now the eggs with sugar need to be beaten well.
3. To the eggs beaten with sugar, put the swollen semolina, also add butter to the bowl. It should be at room temperature, soft. Mix everything together.
4. Put soda and a pinch of salt in a bowl, mix the mass again until smooth.
5. Sift the flour and add it in small parts to the rest of the ingredients, kneading the dough. Look at the consistency, you may need a little less flour. The dough should be soft-soft and it should not stick to your hands.
6. Form a ball from the dough, put it on the bottom of the bowl, cover the bowl with a towel. Leave it on for 30 minutes.
7. Then roll out the dough into a thin layer (about 0.3 cm). Sprinkle it with sugar and roll out the top again slightly, pressing the sugar into the dough. Cut out cookies with molds.
8. Cover the baking sheet with baking paper, put the future cookies on it.
9. Put the baking sheet in a preheated oven to 190 degrees for 15-20 minutes (the edges of the finished cookies will brown, the cookies themselves will turn golden). The longer you keep the treat in the oven, the harder it will be. Try not to over-dry it, although some people like hard and brittle cookies, so focus on personal preferences.
Have a nice tea party!
