Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 40 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make rice with onion and egg? Prepare all the necessary products. The most important thing is high-quality cereals. Rice can be of any shape: round-grain or long-grain, but it must be from a reliable manufacturer. Such cereals do not contain garbage and foreign impurities, and there are no larvae of grain midges in it. Take any vegetable oil, but since we will fry it on it, the oil must be refined so as not to burn in the pan.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

First of all, the rice must be rinsed well under running water, preferably with a sieve. Rinse until the water is completely clear. It is necessary to wash off all the starch from the rice, then it will turn out crumbly and will not turn into porridge.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Put the rice in a saucepan, fill with filtered water based on the calculation that one cup of rice should take 2 cups of water. Boil until tender in salted water, first bringing to a boil over high heat, then over low heat under the lid until fully cooked.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

While the rice is cooking, cut the pre-washed onion into small pieces. If you do not have fresh onions, you can add dried green onions, as well as any other fresh herbs to your taste.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Peel and chop the garlic. I put it through the press, but you can also chop it with a knife or grate it on a fine grater.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Take a frying pan, preferably with a non-stick coating, pour in the oil and heat it up a little for 2-3 minutes.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Add garlic, fry it for 1-2 minutes.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

    Add rice and mix well.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Beat in the previously well-washed egg. Take a larger egg, preferably homemade with a bright orange egg.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Stir intensively with a spatula so that the egg is evenly distributed among the rice and has time to cook.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Add the chopped onion to the pan.

  12. Step 12:

    Step 12.

Fry still for 5-7 minutes. If necessary , add salt to the dish or add 1 tbsp .a spoonful of soy sauce - in this case, the dish will resemble a Chinese dish.

  13. Step 13:

    Step 13.

Serve the dish immediately as an independent dish or as a side dish to meat, fish or chicken. Bon appetit!
