Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make Bulgarian Apple Pie? Prepare the ingredients.
Step 2:
Prepare a dry mixture of flour, semolina, sugar and baking powder. Divide it into 3 equal parts.
Step 3:
Filling. I prefer sweet and sour apples, but you can choose any, focusing on your taste.
Step 4:
Wash the apples, peel them, remove the core and grate on a coarse grater. If the honey is candied, melt it.
Step 5:
Cover the bottom of the baking dish with parchment. I have a shape of 21 cm by 27 cm. If you choose a round shape, then preferably with a diameter of 22 cm. Grease the parchment and sides of the mold with butter. Pour the first part of the dough on the bottom of the mold.
Step 6:
Spread half of the grated apples evenly on top, sprinkle with ½ tbsp cinnamon, pour 1 tbsp honey.
Step 7:
Repeat layers. Sprinkle the top of the pie with the remaining dry mixture.
Step 8:
Pour milk on top of the pie. Use a knife to make punctures in the pie from the top to the bottom so that the milk permeates all the layers. Bake the pie for 40-45 minutes at 180 ° C.
Step 9:
Cool the finished cake completely in the mold and only then you can take it out of the mold and cut into pieces.
