Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 15 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make pancake batter on kefir? Prepare the products. Sift the flour through a sieve. I usually use kefir of low fat content, since it is quite liquid in consistency. But in general, anyone will do. Heat the kefir to room temperature. You can take it out of the refrigerator in advance, use a stove or microwave. Take eggs of any size, store-bought or homemade. It is best that all the ingredients for the dough are at room temperature.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Add a small amount of soda to kefir, mix and leave to stand for 5 minutes. During this time, soda will react with kefir and the process of carbon dioxide release will begin, so that the dough will be airier, and the finished pancakes are tender and soft.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

In a deep bowl, combine the eggs with sugar and salt. Mix them lightly with a whisk. Add vegetable oil. Be sure to wash the eggs before use, as even the seemingly clean shell may contain harmful bacteria. It is best to use food detergents and a brush.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Then pour kefir with soda to the eggs.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Gradually add the sifted flour and knead the dough. To speed up the process, you can use a mixer.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

I usually cook batter for pancakes, because I like pancakes to be thin. But you can adjust the consistency of the dough according to your preference, depending on which pancakes you like. Kefir can be of different fat content and consistency. If the finished dough turns out thicker than we would like, then you can pour a little water into it.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Bake pancakes from the finished pancake batter on kefir, frying them in a frying pan on both sides, until golden brown. Bon appetit!

These pancakes are very tender and delicious. They can be used to fill various fillings — sweet, meat or vegetable.
You can supplement ready-made pancakes with sour cream, jam. jam or condensed milk.
The dough for pancakes can be prepared immediately in large quantities, and then bake pancakes as needed. It is necessary to store such dough in the refrigerator.
After all, you will agree that it is always nice to taste a freshly made pancake, with fervor from the heat.

It is important to sift the flour to saturate it with oxygen. Then the baking will turn out to be airy and will rise well when baking.

Be prepared for the fact that you may need more or less flour than indicated in the recipe. Focus not on the amount of flour, but on the desired consistency of the dough. To avoid mistakes, read about flour and its properties!
