Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 10 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare the products specified in the recipe. You will need a gentle and not sour-tasting cottage cheese with a fat content of at least 18%. Do not take a coarse-grained product. It won't work for this recipe. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance so that it has time to soften.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Put the cottage cheese in the bowl of a blender. Grind it into a soft homogeneous mass. If there is no blender, you can use a chopper (chopper) or just double-scroll the cottage cheese through a meat grinder by installing a fine grate.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Wash the fresh cucumber. Dry with paper towels from excess moisture. Cut into arbitrary pieces. The peel can not be removed if it is not damaged. Send the cucumber to the cottage cheese. Mix again with a blender until smooth.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Add washed and dried parsley (or dill) to the curd mass. Grind again until smooth.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Last add softened butter (at least 73% fat content). High-quality butter will give the dish a creamy and delicate taste. Carefully chop the contents with a blender.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Add salt. Try it with salt and adjust the taste at your discretion by salting the dish.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Cottage cheese almette is ready at home. Cut the baguette into thin slices. You can use loaves, tartlets or white bread. Spread the almette (approximately 1 tsp. l.) in a thin layer. Decorate the top with a parsley leaf, a cucumber ring or an olive. It turned out to be a small toast for one bite. A great option for a buffet table.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Cheese is suitable for breakfast, for decorating festive snacks or for sandwiches for a snack. Help yourself soon. Enjoy your meal!

The recipe can be supplemented by including a celery stalk in the ingredients. It should also be cut and added to the curd mass along with cucumber. Celery will give a piquant note to the taste. You can replace it with Peking cabbage (1 medium-sized leaf). Instead of cucumber, you can put not very sharp ketchup. In some recipes, it is suggested to add Bulgarian pepper, garlic or pickled mushrooms. If the curd mass turned out to be dry, add fatty sour cream or natural yogurt. In short, creativity is welcome here.

Festive appetizer with almette cheese. Fill the tartlets with the prepared curd mass. Cut the red lightly salted fish into thin plates. Roll it into a tube. Put it on top and garnish with herbs. Very tasty and elegant!
