Ladybug Sandwiches for Kids

These adorable, playful sandwiches will delight the little ones! I think every cook and parent will agree that food for a children's party should differ from the usual holiday spread not only in which foods are on the table but also in how they look. After all, kids find it much more fun to eat something unusual that looks pretty and tempting. I've served as the cook at all sorts of children's parties many times, and I want to share with you a recipe for an appetizer like these ladybug sandwiches for kids.

  • So, take sandwich bread (it's usually pre-sliced) and lightly toast it in a toaster or oven. After the bread has cooled a bit, place a slice of processed cheese on each piece. Now lay lettuce leaves on a wide dish and set the half-finished sandwiches on top of them. Then wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half. Place 2 tomato halves in opposite corners of each piece of bread. Now open the jar of olives and take them out. Take one olive, cut off a third of it to make the ladybug's head, and use the rest of the olive for the legs. Finally, sprinkle the sandwiches with chopped dill.
