- A lot of you probably love crêpes with jam, preserves, or a sweet cheese filling. But I'd like to offer this unusual recipe I came up with myself — and it really is delicious. My kids simply adore it. So let's start with the crêpes. Whisk the flour into the milk along with the eggs, salt, and just a pinch of sugar. To avoid lumps, I always pour the batter through a sieve. Melt the butter and stir it into the batter — that's what makes the crêpes soft and airy (you can use plain sunflower oil instead if you like). I won't bother teaching you how to fry them. Now for the topping. First, cut the lard into small pieces and render it; when it's nearly done, add the cottage cheese along with a little garlic and salt (to taste). Once everything heats through, the cheese should turn stretchy. And that's ready. Now take a crêpe, fold it into quarters, and simply dip it into the warm sauté — the flavor really is out of this world.
