  • I call this one a "salad cake." It's built in layers. Slice the fresh tomatoes thin, arrange them on a wide plate, salt them, and refrigerate for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, put the eggs on to boil. Cut the sausage (or meat) into small pieces and grate the apple. Mix the grated apple with the chopped meat, then spread it over the rested tomatoes. Next, sprinkle on a thin layer of chopped pickles, followed by a layer of corn. Hard-boil the eggs, chop them fine, and mix with the sour cream. That's it. Refrigerate and let it set before serving.
