Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make chicken with mushrooms in a slow cooker? Prepare all the necessary ingredients for this. In a slow cooker, you can cook any part of the chicken, but I take the chicken fillet so that the bones do not come across in the finished dish. The proportions of all the ingredients can be slightly changed according to your taste preferences.
Step 2:
Rinse the chicken fillet in running water, dry it from excess moisture and cut into large pieces. Preheat the bowl of the slow cooker to a hot state on the "frying" mode, pour a little vegetable oil and put the chopped chicken. Fry it for 7-8 minutes until golden brown.
Step 3:
Wash the mushrooms from dirt and cut them. Cut large champignons into 4 parts, and crayons can only be cut in half.
Step 4:
Peel the onion and garlic and rinse in cold water. Cut the onion into half rings or slightly smaller. Just chop the garlic into pieces.
Step 5:
Wash the bell peppers and tomatoes and, likewise, cut into pieces.
Step 6:
When the chicken is fried, put it on a plate. And put the chopped champignons in the bowl of the slow cooker. Fry them for 5-7 minutes. Then add the chopped onion to the mushrooms. Fry everything together for another 3-4 minutes.
Step 7:
Then return the chicken to the bowl. Add the bell pepper, tomatoes and garlic. Fry everything together for another 2-3 minutes. Then pour in hot water, add curry, salt and pepper to taste. Switch the slow cooker to the "Quenching" mode for 20 minutes. Be guided by your slow cooker.
Step 8:
Chicken with mushrooms in a slow cooker is ready! Such a dish can be served independently or supplemented with any side dish. Enjoy your meal!
Keep in mind that the cooking time and mode are indicated approximately in the recipe. All slow cookers work differently and even the same models of the same manufacturer may have their own characteristics. Before you start cooking a new dish for you in a slow cooker, carefully study the instructions for it, and then in practice try to cook dishes that are familiar to you first, and then new ones, choosing the mode and time individually for your own technique.
Buy fresh mushrooms of medium size, snow-white color without spots, damage, rot smell. They should not be slippery to the touch. Thoroughly rinse the mushrooms from the ground under a stream of warm or cold water. Cut out the damaged places, if there are any. Miniature mushrooms up to 2 cm in size do not need to be cleaned at all, it is enough to rinse them well. Larger champignons are recommended to be cleaned from films.
