Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make a chicken chop with tomato and cheese in the oven? Very simple! First, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. For chops, a minimum set of spices such as salt and pepper is sufficient. But you can also add spices to your taste, for example, dry garlic, paprika, curry, etc .
Step 2:
Wash and dry the chicken fillet. Cut each fillet lengthwise into two parts. Lightly beat the meat with a hammer on one side. At the same time, try not to damage the integrity of the meat. Season each piece with salt, pepper and sprinkle with other spices as desired. The breast can be replaced with meat from the thigh, but in this case the calorie content of the dish may change.
Step 3:
Wash the tomatoes, dry them and cut them into circles.
Step 4:
Remove the mozzarella from the brine, dry and cut into thin circles. You can replace mozzarella with any cheese to your liking.
Step 5:
Wash and dry the greens. Combine basil, parsley, olive oil, salt and pepper in a blender. Whisk everything until smooth. The consistency can be varied with olive oil from a dense paste to a semi-viscous mass flowing from a spoon. You can use ready-made store-bought pesto sauce.
Step 6:
Put the chicken breasts in a greased baking dish with vegetable oil. Spread the pesto sauce on top of the chicken.
Step 7:
Put 1-2 slices of mozzarella on top.
Step 8:
Put 2 circles of tomatoes on the cheese. Place the mold in a preheated 180 ° C oven and bake for 20-30 minutes until the chicken is ready. The exact baking time depends on the characteristics of your oven and the thickness of the chicken chops.
Step 9:
Transfer the finished chops to a plate and serve immediately. Bon appetit!
Chicken fillet can be replaced with any other meat: turkey, pork or beef.
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use the useful information about the features of ovens !
Any heat-resistant mold is suitable for this recipe. If you use a silicone mold, then you do not need to smear it with butter or margarine. But it is better to lightly lubricate metal, ceramic or glass dishes with vegetable oil so that the baking does not burn.
