Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to bake a duck in a duck house in the oven? Start by preparing the duck, if necessary. Thoroughly clean from the remnants of feathers, wash everything from the inside well. Remove inedible parts, such as the coccygeal gland or the whole ass! Dry the duck with a towel. Prepare vegetables, fruits and mushrooms with spices.
Step 2:
Cut the peeled potatoes in half.
Step 3:
Cut the apples into slices without a core. Wash the mushrooms, they can be left whole (it's more beautiful this way) or cut in half lengthwise.
Step 4:
Mix all the spices and crushed garlic with olive oil and with your hands or with a special brush, then rub the duck with this mixture from all sides and inside.
Step 5:
Stuff it with apples, fasten the hole with toothpicks.
Step 6:
Pour water into the duck house.
Step 7:
Put the duck back down.
Step 8:
Cover the duck with potatoes and mushrooms on all sides. Add a little salt to the vegetables.
Step 9:
Preheat the oven to 240 degrees and bake the duck in it for an hour and a half under the lid and for another 10-15 minutes in the open form to brown. Have fun and delicious holidays!
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
Instead of fresh, you can take frozen or dried mushrooms (dried ones will need 5-6 times less than fresh ones). Frozen mushrooms can be defrosted in any convenient way (for example, in the microwave in the appropriate mode - see the instructions for your technique) and drain the liquid. Or, if the amount of liquid in the recipe is not critical, use without defrosting. Dried mushrooms should be washed well, since they are not washed before drying, and then soaked in cold water for at least 2-3 hours.
Any oils are useful only until a certain temperature is reached - the point of smoking, at which the oil begins to burn and toxic substances, including carcinogens, are formed in it. How to determine the roasting temperature and choose the best oil for frying, and which one is better not to use at all, read here .
