Step 1:
How to bake dumplings in the oven with mayonnaise and milk? Prepare the products. You can take both homemade and purchased dumplings. It is better if they are frozen — then the dough will not soften very much. Milk is suitable for any fat content, you can even take a mixture of milk and water.

Immediately turn on the oven to warm up, set the temperature to 200 ° C. The whole preparation process will take quite a bit of time, the oven will just have time to warm up. Take a baking dish of a suitable size. Put the dumplings in it. Depending on their number and the size of the mold, make one or more rows.
Step 3:
Pour the dumplings with milk so that it reaches about half. It took me less milk than indicated by the recipe, because the dumplings were in one row.
Step 4:
Grease the top of the dumplings with mayonnaise. Season them with salt and pepper.
Step 5:
Grate the cheese on a medium grater. Any cheese for this dish is suitable — hard, semi-hard, soft, like mozzarella. The main thing is that it is tasty, high-quality, without milk fat substitutes and melts well.
Step 6:
Sprinkle the dish with grated cheese.
Step 7:
Cover the mold with a piece of foil on top. Put the dish to bake in a preheated oven. After 20 minutes, take it out, but do not turn off the heating. Remove the foil and return the mold to the oven.
Step 8:
Bake the dumplings for another 10-15 minutes, the liquid should almost all evaporate, and a ruddy crust will form on top. Remove the mold from the oven.
Step 9:
Serve the baked dumplings, sliced into portions like a piece of casserole. Sour cream, mayonnaise or ketchup are good for them. Bon appetit!
