Cooking dishes in the oven is a fairly simple process in terms of applying culinary knowledge and skills. Here we trust the oven, giving it the role of a cook. At the same time, the cooking process is facilitated, because there is no need to stir, turn the chicken.
But our role in the preparation of the dish is no less important, on the contrary, it is the main one. We must first prepare the chicken thighs for baking, that is, make a sour cream marinade. The main taste and quality of the finished dish will depend on this.
The use of herbs and spices plays an important role in cooking. The taste of chicken becomes more refined, different from the usual. When introducing aromatic herbs, their compatibility and dosage should be taken into account. After all, not quite competent use of these ingredients can worsen and completely spoil the taste. In this case, rosemary, thyme, coriander, marjoram, tarragon, basil, thyme, oregano are suitable for chicken in sour cream marinade. You can use only some of the listed herbs, for example, the duo of oregano and basil perfectly harmonizes. Or you can use a ready-made mixture of Provencal herbs. It will give the chicken a special unique taste and aroma.
Chicken thighs are well washed and dried.
We put sour cream in a deep enough dish in which the chicken will be marinated. Guided by your taste preferences, add salt, herbs, spices to the sour cream and mix. For lovers of spicy taste, you can add garlic passed through the press.
We put chicken thighs in sour cream marinade, it is desirable that they are covered with marinade from all sides. Mix the chicken well, as if "massaging". Leave to marinate for 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. We shift the chicken thighs into a convenient form or a deep baking sheet. Bake until cooked for 40-45 minutes. If the thighs are well browned, take them out and immediately serve with any side dish.
