Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients. To make a sponge cake with apples, we will need: flour; sugar; eggs; vanilla sugar and apples.
Step 2:
In a deep bowl, combine eggs, sugar and vanilla sugar. Beat with a mixer until fluffy. It is very important not to overdo the eggs. The mass should not be white and very dense. If the mass turns out to be very dense, it means that almost all the air has come out of the eggs and such a biscuit will either not rise at all, or will rise very slightly.
Step 3:
Sift flour and add parts to the dough.
Step 4:
Mix flour with a mixer at low speed.
Step 5:
Wash the apples, dry them, peel them from the peduncle and seeds. If desired, you can peel the peel. Cut the prepared apples into slices.
Step 6:
Put apple slices on the bottom of a well-greased baking dish (Ø 24-26 cm).
Step 7:
Pour the dough evenly over the apples.
Step 8:
Put the pie in a preheated 180 ° C oven for about 40-45 minutes. And let the pie stand in the cooling oven for another 10 minutes. It is better not to open the oven door for the first 35 minutes, otherwise the biscuit will fall off. A crisp, brittle crust should appear on the surface of the finished pie.
Step 9:
If desired, you can flip the pie so that the apples are on top. But I don't do it with a pie according to this recipe, otherwise the crispy crust will get wet quickly. Enjoy your meal!
