Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 h 40 min

1. Turn on the oven at 180-200 degrees.

2. Potatoes and onions are cleaned, washed under water. Cut the potatoes into thin slices. Cut the onion into thin half rings.

3. Chicken fillet is washed and dried with a paper towel. We put the meat on a cutting board, cut off unnecessary fat and bones, if any. Next, cut the fillets into small cubes.

4. The bottom of a cast-iron frying pan without a handle or a round baking dish is lubricated with a piece of butter. We put potato slices in it, and evenly distribute the pieces of chicken meat on top. The third layer is spread with chopped onions. Each laid out layer is seasoned with salt and ground black pepper to taste. Put the pan in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes.

5. While the pie filling is in the oven, prepare the dough. To do this, break the chicken eggs into a bowl, beat them lightly with a whisk or fork. Next, pour in kefir and put mayonnaise. Mix all the ingredients together again. We sift the flour from possible foreign impurities and mix it with baking soda. Then, in small portions, pour the flour into a bowl with eggs and kefir. Mix everything thoroughly to a homogeneous consistency so that there are no lumps from flour. Add salt to the bowl and stir again. The pie dough is ready. It should be liquid in structure, like on pancakes.

6. Remove the frying pan with vegetables and meat from the oven. We let it cool down a little and pour everything with the prepared liquid dough. Put the pan back in the oven and bake the pie for 45-50 minutes, until it is covered with a beautiful golden brown crust. The readiness of the pie can be determined with a toothpick or a match - when piercing the pie, it should remain dry.

The lazy chicken coop pie is ready! Bon appetit!
