Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Preparing the dough for our cake. Mix eggs with sugar in a deep bowl.
Step 2:
Using a mixer, beat them to a white foam.
Step 3:
Without ceasing to beat, gradually add the sifted flour, softened butter and sour cream (pre-add soda to the sour cream and stir well).
Step 4:
The dough should be homogeneous.
Step 5:
Then divide it into 2 equal parts. In the first part, add 2 tablespoons of flour, and in the second - 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder. Mix until the consistency of thick sour cream, making sure that there are no lumps.
Step 6:
Grease the baking dish (I have a diameter of 28 centimeters) with oil. Pour the dough into the center on a tablespoon, alternating two types.
Step 7:
The contents of the form do not need to be mixed.
Step 8:
Spread out all the dough.
Step 9:
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and send the dough form into it for 30-40 minutes. If the top of the cake is baked, and the middle is damp, then cover the mold with foil, reduce the temperature to 180 degrees and bake the cake until ready.
Step 10:
Our handsome cake is ready! Have a nice tea party!
I learned how to bake a classic Zebra cake at school during labor lessons. Since then, I've been making it for various holidays or just like that, for no reason. My children always enjoy the look and taste of these sweet pastries. And preparing such a cake, as can be seen from the recipe, is incredibly simple. It belongs to the number of those cakes that do not contain any cream, but which I still like very much at the same time. I bake it every time I want to please and pamper my family with sweets and to have something to eat over a cup of tea or coffee. If suddenly your family asked you to bake something delicious, then they won't have to wait long. Knowing this recipe, you will very quickly serve the desired pastries on the table. Cut off each piece and put the kettle on so that your meal is full and satisfying!
Be prepared for the fact that you may need more or less flour than indicated in the recipe. Focus not on the amount of flour, but on the desired consistency of the dough. To avoid mistakes, read about flour and its properties!
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use the useful information about the features of ovens !
