Cooking method
Such a pie is also called a lazy or dry pie. The recipe is quite simple and fast. The longest thing here is to peel and grate the apples. If you have assistants, then in general all the preparations will take 5-10 minutes.
1. So, take all the ingredients, namely semolina, flour, baking powder, sugar and cinnamon, as well as vanilla or vanilla sugar and mix it all well in a bowl.
2. We will wash the apples, peel them from the skin and cut out the middle with the bones. Grate the apples on a grater with large holes.
3. We will need a baking sheet, preferably rectangular. But if not, then you can and round. Cover it with parchment paper, spread with vegetable oil or butter, at your discretion.
4. Now it is necessary to distribute the dry mixture to the bottom of the mold, and then put the grated apples and distribute so that the layers alternate. I have three dry layers and two apple layers for a 20 by 26 cm form. It should be finished with a dry layer.
5. And put in a preheated 180-200 degree oven for 40-50 minutes.
Sugar can be replaced with powdered sugar to make sure that it will not crunch on the teeth after baking.
You can add different dried fruits to apples, finely chopped to your taste, or nuts or seeds like sesame or poppy seeds. This will make the taste of such a pie more diverse and rich. You can also add different spices, nutmeg or ground ginger.
And you can optionally decorate such a pie by pritrusiv the same sugar mudra, nuts, pieces of chocolate or dried fruits.
The pie turns out to be quite tender and juicy. Juiciness can be made more or less if you reduce or increase the amount of apple filling.
In this pie, the main condition is that the apples are juicy varieties, so that the moisture that will be released during baking permeates the dry mixture.
With apples, you can also grate pumpkins into such a pie, it is also juicy and fragrant, and even what a useful one.
Bon appetit.
