Step 1:
How to make hedgehogs from minced meat with rice in a slow cooker? Prepare the specified ingredients. I take chicken minced meat, but it can be any minced meat at will. Medium-sized onions and carrots. Tomato paste, or sauce, or tomato puree. Steamed long-grained rice, it is better to wash it well first. I will cook in a slow cooker, but you can cook such hedgehogs on the stove.
Step 2:
Wash, peel and grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
Step 3:
Peel and slice the onion. Pour a little oil into the bowl of the slow cooker and in the "Frying" mode, fry the onion (2/3 of the onion) with carrots.
Step 4:
In a deep bowl, mix one egg, rice, minced meat and 1/3 chopped onion. Add salt and pepper to taste, mix everything thoroughly.
Step 5:
With wet hands, take a piece of minced meat (about 1 tbsp. l with a slide for a hedgehog) and make balls, rolling the minced meat between your palms.
Step 6:
Put the prepared hedgehogs on fried onions and carrots, it is better to spread them in one layer so that they are then completely covered with sauce.
Step 7:
Mix the tomato paste with flour, sour cream, add a little salt and pepper and pour this sauce over the hedgehogs.
Step 8:
Add warm water, close the lid and turn on the "Quenching" mode for one hour.
Step 9:
At the end of the program signal, open the slow cooker. Serve the hedgehogs with minced meat hot. Thanks to rice, they can be served as an independent dish.
Minced meat hedgehogs with rice are a favorite and familiar dish to everyone. They can be cooked on the stove in a saucepan, you can even bake, or you can use an assistant and leave them to cook on their own with a slow cooker.
This dish will be interesting for children if you really make hedgehogs out of minced meat, simulate needles with rice, and insert peppers instead of eyes. To preserve the shape, it is better to cook them in a slow cooker for a couple, using a special bowl for this.
