Salting lard with garlic and a mixture of peppers

A very simple and delicious way of dry salting will definitely appeal to everyone! I always salt the fat myself in a variety of ways: in onion husks, in brine, in a jar, etc. This method is the easiest and fastest and I want to share it. And although I am not fond of lard, but my husband loves and praises very much. This piece of fat I salt for him!

  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Here are all the necessary ingredients. Take the fat that you like. My husband likes lard without layers, so I took it.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Garlic is passed through the press

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Add salt and spices. Do not worry that there is a lot of salt - the fat will take as much as you need - no more, no less

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

    Mix well

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Rub the resulting mixture with a piece of fat from all sides. Then we wrap it with cling film or foil. I just put it in a bag. Now we leave it at room temperature for 6-8 hours, and then put it in the refrigerator for 1.5-2 days

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

We take it out of the refrigerator - our fat is already ready, you can cut it. Classic - salted bacon with borscht or fried potatoes.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

    Bon appetit!

Lard salted in this way turns out very tasty and even I eat a couple of pieces. I've heard that a little fat is even useful, especially in winter. I don't know if it's true or not, but sometimes a little fat definitely won't hurt! Try it!
